Mersa matrouh

Egypt is definitely a country that attracts a lot of attention from tourists, what with all the different attractions that can be experienced there. There are so many interesting cities that call Egypt home, but if there is one city in Egypt that is worth visiting, then it is the beautiful, Marsa Matruh is pretty secluded from the main staple cities of Egypt, being close to 300 kilometers away from Alexandria and well over 500 kilometers away from Cairo. Do not let the seclusion fool you though, as this is a great asset to the city, especially if you like quieter, more serene vacations.
Just like most vacation destinations, Marsa Matruh is absolutely loaded with all sorts of hotels, from five star resorts, to some more significantly cheaper options. One such resort that is gaining a lot of attraction from Egyptian residents and tourists alike is the Jaz Almaza Beach Resort. Here you will find a restaurant, a bar and poolside bar, hair salon, indoor and outdoor pool, private beach, health club, business amenities and so much more. This resort has it all in the way of keeping guests comfortable and entertained. Other notable hotels in MarsaMatruh include Carols Beau Rivage, Beausite Hotel, Carols Swan Club, San Giovanni Cleopatra Hotel and many The hotels listed above are just a mere few of the very many that are present in MarsaMatruh. To find out about more of the hotels in Marsa Matruh, or to even book a stay, all that you need is a computer and your favorite search engine.
One search on the hotels in Marsa Matruh will bring up all kinds of different websites that will briefly describe some of the notable hotels in MarsaMatruh. Some of these websites will even assist you in booking a stay, providing travel arrangements, informing you of everything there is to do and more. Not only are there all kinds of different hotels in MarsaMatruh, but there are also a multitude of fabulous eateries that offer a variety of international cuisines.
Marsa Matruh would not be as popular as it is without some of the fine beaches that are present in the city. Lido and Rommel beach are the closest beaches, being located right in front of
the city. However, these two beaches tend to get extremely crowded as well as dirty during the peak summer season. Gharam Beach is a mere 17 kilometer drive away and is the largest
beach that MarsaMatruh has to offer.
Even during the peak summer season, the beach may get crowded, but there should still be plenty of room for you and your guests to comfortably swim. If sunbathing is what you're looking for, then Cleopatra's beach is a fine place to do so. The oddly shaped rocks that line the waterfront make swimming there a bit difficult and even dangerous, even for seasoned swimmers.
There are other beaches present in Marsa Matruh, but the ones listed above are some of the more popular ones. Another popular beach that some consider to be the pride of MarsaMatruh, is Agiba beach. Being only around 40 meters long, one would not think that Agiba beach is that great of a beach, but two magnificent cliffs that encase the beach would beg to differ. A nice
swim and then a climb up to the top of the cliffs to watch a beautiful swim is an excellent way to end a Marsa Matruh vacation. Marsa Matruh is full of hotels, eateries, beaches and other features that will make a stay in MarsaMatruh a fantastic vacation destination. So what are you waiting for? Book your stay in Marsa Matruh now.

Hurghada

When I first visited Hurghada in the late 90's it was a small town, not really large enough to be called
a city. Now it's a bustling city and a hotspot on the Red Sea.

Its coastal location and year round warm weather has made it an ideal place for holiday goers looking for a resort vacation, diving and water sports.

The area is renowned for its beautiful coral reefs, turquoise blue ocean, wide array of colored fish, diving and snorkeling.

The city has grown into a full size city with wonderful resorts and first class Hotels.

The nightlife is thriving with nightclubs, bars and discos. Seafood restaurants abound, and there is a wonderful boardwalk along the ocean where you can sit at one of the many outside cafes and enjoy a meal or a coffee while viewing the ocean.

Many of the Hotels have their own beaches where you can snorkel or just relax on the beach, or have a game of volleyball or tennis overlooking the water.

This part of Egypt is somewhat westernized compared to Cairo, Luxor and Aswan and dress codes are a little more relaxed.

Take a daytrip out on a boat to swim, snorkel or dive off the reefs, or just enjoy the view from the boat. The water is so clear you can see the multi colored fish swimming around even from the decks of the boat. A fresh fish meal is cooked and served aboard before returning around 4pm to get ready for dinner and some nightlife.

There are also live aboard boats that can be rented for a few days or a week for diving, and a variety of other watersports. You can windsail, pedal boat and other numerous water sports.

Another option is to take an afternoon, evening safari in a 4x4 out into the desert to a Bedouin Camp. The trip itself is an adventure up and over numerous sand dunes, like a roller coaster. Witness how real Bedouins live, where they find their water. Ride a camel and enjoy a genuine Bedouin dinner and entertainment. On the way home a stop to see the stars in a pitch black desert, is something you will remember.

The Alfa Wa Leila Folklore show is a favourite with all. A show spectacle, laser lights, a story line, and Arabian horses. Afterwards the kids can ride a horse or camel. The show is followed with another with local music, bellydancers, and a whirling dervish (a twirling man with colored skirts). A fun evening for everyone.

Half an hour down the road is Mars Salam a city of wonderful villas and luxury yachts recently developed and predominantly European owned. A nice place for coffee or a meal.

Hurghada has wonderful seafood restaurants, and a great selection of souvenir stores for those must have Egyptian souvenirs.

Luxor can be visited as a daytrip, but to visit Cairo you would need to overnight. Hurghada has become a popular destination from many of the European countries with direct charter flights. Many of the regular Egyptian itineraries include a couple of days in Hurghada after visiting Luxor and Aswan as a relaxing spot after several hectic days of sightseeing.

Marsa Alam

The "Red Sea Riviera" which spans the eastern shore of Egypt as well as a majority of the coast of the Sinai Peninsula has long been known for its remarkable resorts and luxurious hotels. Most of the popular towns have thriving shopping, dining and nightlife scenes and make for a unique change for those who inhabit some of the nearby cities and towns. These are only some of the reasons that the Red Sea Riviera towns are so actively visited.

Another reason for the frequent visits from native Egyptians and world wide tourists alike is the incredible conditions for diving, snorkeling and water sports that are presented within the surrounding waters of this entire area. The Red Sea, Gulf of Suez and Gulf of Aqaba all host unique wildlife, corals and creatures that draw millions of enthusiasts to the region each year.

One town which is becoming increasingly popular is Marsa Alam, which is located along the southern region of the Red Sea Riviera, close to the Tropic of Cancer and Arabian Desert. Here visitors enjoy the lush scenery, full of palm trees and soothing breezes from the coastal waters.

Marsa Alam vacations tend to be all about the diving, snorkeling and water activities made so enjoyable by the special conditions of the surrounding waters. Divers frequently encounter well-preserved or completely unspoiled diving sites. This is due in part to the majority of the Red Sea Riviera now falling under governmental protection as a national park, and the fact that most dives are now heavily regulated. Protecting both the flora and fauna from disturbances and the harmful effects of divers who may "collect" creatures will go a long way to maintaining the popularity of the area and increasing its visitation.

Those enjoying Marsa Alam vacations will be able to view dugongs (similar to manatees), Red Sea Spinner Dolphins, coral and hammerhead sharks among many other creatures when they scuba dive in the area. There are also ample opportunities to learn how to sail, surf and snorkel as well.

Additionally, the area is in close proximity to some interesting "inland" activities, including a nearby temple of pharaoh Seti I, who is an often-discussed pharaoh of the Nineteenth Dynasty.

Those looking to enjoy Marsa Alam vacations will also have a wide range of accommodations to choose from, including comprehensive resorts offering diving packages, training and certification as well as more simple hotels which provide an excellent place to rest after a day in the warm Egyptian sun.
